Today was looking pretty dire, almost nothing then Greenfinches, Blue Tit and a Magpie saved it! Â Iâd been outside a bit even though itâs been raining heavily and yet there were very few birds in the garden, on my final outing to check the feeders, down to just a few fat balls, coconuts and 1 seed feeder due to birds not taking a lot at present and some of the seed in the feeder started to sprout in the feeder so cut back on what Iâm putting out. Â The fat is still popular though! Â I am hoping that itâs more the fact the birds are in nest and on eggs that theyâre not out as much. Â I hope to hear a dawn chorus next week if I can manage getting up into the woods in the dim light. Â Seems weird thinking âif I can get into woods in dim lightâ I used to do half my hiking in those conditions for landscape photography! Â Enough rambling onto the bird list:
- Blue Tit x 1
- Dunnock x 3
- Greenfinch x 2
- Magpie x 1
- Woodpigeon x 1
